is Granny Dowbekin's special recipe soft bake in the shape of the three arch bridge which was built around 1760 at a cost of £400. The gingerbridge was created in 2010 to commemorate Pooley Bridge being 250 years old.
The bridge collapsed during the floods caused by storm Desmond in December 2015 and was replaced by a temporary one in March 2016.
Made to our own secret recipe, the Pooley Gingerbridges contain both ground and stem ginger. They are constructed in hand made moulds inspired by the shape and textures of the old bridge. Available to take away in souvenir packs from the Tearoom and various local retailers, they can be stored for up to three months.
