We are just 5 miles from Junction 40 M6. Take the A66 west for 1 mile, branch left at the Rheged roundabout on the A592, after 4 miles, passing Dalemain House on your right and following the path of the River Eamont, you arrive at the lakeshore.
Take a left for Pooley Bridge, pass the ferry pier, go over the bridge and we are the first building on the left. There is a car park on either side of the river, and free parking in the village square if you can find a place. In Summer there is additional parking provided by local farmers.
If you are coming from the South Lakes, from Windermere take the A592 to Kirkstone Pass, and from Ambleside take ‘The Struggle’ which ends at the top of Kirkstone pass, then proceed through Patterdale and Glenridding at the head of Ullswater keeping on the A592 which follows the Lakeshore along one of Britain’s most scenic drives.
